An Cnoc 12yo 40% OB
An Cnoc is the single malt made at Knockdhu distillery, although independent bottlers ususally call it "Knockdhu Single Malt". Seems very light, colour of applejuice. I smell some sweetness and tea, light herbs. The taste is also very sweet, mint bubblegum, very plain and kind of boring. Some drops of water adds some dark chocolate. It reminds me of after eight. The aftertaste is very short and has something like apple core going on.
A nice aperitif and a real lightweighter: 4.5

This is from the same distillery that produces the An Cnoc single malt. It's smells of caramel and sugar. The flavour is a bit harsh and burnt, with notions of dried seaweed, sushi anyone? The caramell shows it's face also on the palate, but all in all seems this malt a lot younger than 17 years old. A dry and alcoholic finish, the one you might get from bad wodka.
