1 Glenugie tasted between 1.4.2008-28.5.2011

Glenugie 27yo 1982-2009 50% OMC Douglas Laing

The bottlings of Glenugie are becoming harder and harder to find, and I don't think there are too many casks left lying around nowadays. Very strong smell, puts me of a bit to be honest. It has much vanilla and earthy notes going on, subtle and pleasant. The aftertaste is sharp, blackcurrant, raspberry, blue cheese and salt. With a tiny drop of water, it opens up a bit and creates an even longer aftertaste.

A very nice and classy malt: 7
